Special thanks to Sarah West for sending us “SUNNY”. SUNNY is our top winning Bengal for 2011 and takes the Bengal standard to a whole new level in Australia. Her pelt is short, tight and sleek. The first words out of the judges’ mouth when SUNNY was placed before them was “WOW”. When they ran their hands over her pelt, the exclamation then became an “oooh”!
SUNNY would be classified as a golden Bengal. The golden background colour is highly sought after because it promotes the most dramatic contrast between the background colour and rosettes. We have only seen two others like this in Australia. They are highly sought after by breeders and we look to SUNNY and her sister SUNDANCE, to produce more of these beauties for us in 2012 and onward. SUNNY also carries the “whited factor”. Her mother is a whited Bengal and has the full - whited tummy and expression. The “whited look”, provides additional contrast to the colour and markings of the Bengal and makes it uniquely different from any other breed of domestic cat and is a distinctive look inherited from their wild ancestor - the Asian Leopard Cat. We will pair SUNNY with our champion male HARRY, who is partially “whited” and has a parent who is fully whited. We expect incredible kittens from this pairing. Some of these kittens will be whited and of the golden variety. If you are interested in obtaining one of these kittens, send your expression of interest, to request an application to be put on the list.

Approximately 10 months after sending us SUNNY, her Breeder Sarah West ,graciously sent us SUNNY’s full litter-sister, SUNDANCE. These two sisters are alike in so many respects. They both have the famous golden pelt, with very distinct rosettes, which continue all the way down their very thick tails. They both purr non-stop like a chainsaw and just love people! They both have that uniquely egg shaped—Bengal head with small ears. SUNDANCE is larger than her show star sister SUNNY and would be considered a desirable breeding-size girl. Both of these girls carry the whited factor and when paired with our champion boy HARRY….should produce kittens with golden pelts and possibly whited tummies/whited expressions. Both have recently been screened for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and found to be negative of any signs of HCM. We regularly screen all of our breeding cats - males and females for any signs of HCM. We only use HCM clear (negative) cats in our breeding program in an attempt to produce only the strongest of Bengal cats.

“Hope” as she is loveningly called, was sent to us by our friends Helena and Renata at Artattack Bengals. Hope also has that sought after golden background colour, which is further enhanced by her black—outlined rosettes. She is also “whited” on her muzzle and under her chin, which really enhances her expression. At her first show, she was awarded Group 3 - BEST IN SHOW KITTEN. We think that Hope will be instrumental in helping our silver breeding program gain the contrast and WOW factor that our brown program has obtained.
